Inspire The Nation By Comparing Iraq to...Vietnam?

Did anyone catch that Mensa of a president today trying to rally the nation to support the war on Iraq, er, I mean, in Iraq by comparing it to Vietnam? Yeah, that would be the other big Quagmire we got stuck in for far too long for no good purpose. Not that Bushie boy would know anything about Vietnam. Some answered the call, others called Daddy. Hey Genius, just an idea, but stick to comparing it to WWII, stick to comparisons to the Nazis, Hitler, we can't be appeasers like Chamberlin, etc. That plays much much better with the John Wayne lovers.

Sorry for the non-running post but I just had to point out that Bush has now totally lost his mind. He was a pretty good runner a few years back though. An article about his running even inspired me to get back into running after a 9 month layoff. I just can't believe this country somehow managed to put him office. Next time Republicans, please vote responsibly.

I remember some Democrat who swore that, "He did not have sexual relations with that women". Good thing the intern forgot to get the dress to the drycleaners. I don't have the time to go thorought the other comedy of errors from the last administration. As far as voting, just do it.

Nice job anonymous, compare a sexual indiscretion to the mess we found ourselves in Iraq. Hiding behind anonymous to boot. Your the reason I've become a "Closet Democrat" with Libertarian tendencies.

And yes, I voted for Bush twice. If given the opportunity, I would correct it.

So the last administration produced a "comedy of errors"? Gee, I wish we had some comedy right now. My nephew is a combat medic stationed just northeast of Baghdad. There's nothing funny about it.

If you don't like something, change it. Your vote does the speaking for you. Voting is like religion, everyone has the opportunity to practice it their way and to reduce someone's voting option as not relavent or wrong because it is not the same as your's is stupid. Bush has issue's and a low rating, Congress has a lower rating. Thank you Democrats. Last time I checked their was no draft so the "my job is dangerous theory" don't fly. What is your nephew's thought of his situation and how will he vote?

Despite what you hear in the media, the approval rating for Congressional Democrats is higher than Bush's - 37%. Approval of Congressional Republicans is 29%. They're pulling the overall number down, not the Democrats. These figures can be found here at the Gallop site:

But personally I don't approve of the job that Congress is doing one bit.

And my nephew says it's a lost cause over there.

Lance, the above link is cut off in FireFox, but I assume you are referring to this article.

At least Clinton preferred women.

Bez,

Yeah, I heard that about the marathon. And that kickoff party 5K is about full. I registered Sunday night. With a 7:30 PM start in late September that race may actually be run in the dark. My kind of conditions!
